Welcome to my blog:)

My goal is to document my life as a yoga teacher, grad student studying counseling, an intern, animal rescue volunteer/activist/doggie foster mom, fitness center grad assistant and supervisor, fitness/dance instructor, personal trainer, and military wife…among other things.

Let’s just say I’m a bit of a hippie, nomad, vegetarian, artist, and restless spirit with a penchant for adventures and a habit of not staying in the same place too long! What can I say, I get bored, and need to keep busy.

So that’s what this blog is about…not getting bored!  I plan to document all of my crazy adventures, in part because they are super fun and I love being able to look back at all the awesome things I’ve done, but also because having somewhere to be accountable for keeping things fun and interesting is going to be very important this year….because my husband is on his 2nd deployment.

So that’s where 300 new suns came from…300 because he will be gone a little under a year and 300 seemed like a nice even number…also I know there will be some days I may no doing anything new and exciting (gasp!!), so there’s a little leeway there.  And “new suns?”, well that’s from a quote from Chris McCandless from “Into the Wild”…if you haven’t read it, go buy it now.  I go into it a little more in my first post!

Thanks for taking the time to read and follow along…hope you get inspired to create your own adventures!

I am so glad that I found your blog! It really does look amazing and sooo inspirational that you are so positive despite your husband’s deployment. I am so honoured that you’re following mine! Your passion to have adventures and do new things is something I share too and I can’t wait to finish university so I can really start to explore the world! And I am also a huge fan of Into the Wild, I haven’t yet read the book but I watched the movie just recently after a friend introduced it to me and after crying for about an hour I have never felt so inspired! Can’t wait to read more of your stuff 😉 Stay strong and I wish you an amazing new year ahead =D

    • Aw thank you so much! You don’t know how much that means to me. It is hard to stay positive sometimes, but knowing that I am motivating others is such a huge help to me as well.

Also you must read the book…it is so good! And if you like it, you should also read Everett Ruess, A Vagabond for Beauty…its a book that is quoted in the into the wild book and is really awesome as well.

      Have a wonderful New Year!

  6. I love your attitude and we have a lot in common! You’re pretty too! Sending peace…Sherry
